Knight of the Apocalypse

A knight of the apocalypse
Hard as diamond, shining proud,
Rides in determined descent
Bearing a sword of judgment
Heavy as sin, weighted with fault.
Rave of outer limits - this world
And future forgotten with cost -
What discovered and what lost,
Our roles fixed in our choices
Acting out this play of pathos.

The knight of the apocalypse
Hard as diamond, shining black,
Rides in determined descent,
An angel of compassion sent
As consort at his side to save
That discovered and that lost
Here in the rave of final night,
Of moon concealed, hidden light,
She calls for mercy beyond limit,
Oh, mercy for that heavy sword.

Blue\Black

Dawns' twilight a deep blue well,
A balm of blue above a world yet black.
You are mine but not for me -
My being torn by this dichotomy.
Day too long and night too heavy,
This cool place an inter-space
To wrap myself in dream,
To rest in the blue-black stream,
In the unknown flowing of faith.
There reason I dream of between
The black world and the deep blue well,
Secret hope the future may tell.
Such hope as I dare not yet gleams,
A balm of blue above a world yet black.
